For whatever reason, ever since yesterday evening and right through most of today I’ve kept having to remind myself that no, it’s NOT Thursday, but rather only Wednesday. Does that ever happen to you? Anyway, now that I’ve set myself straight (AND breathed a sigh of relief at having an “extra” day to complete the things that need to be done this week), let’s move on to some Wildcard Wednesday fun!
Wanna play?

(If you missed the inaugural Wildcard Wednesday post, check it out to see what all the fun is about!)
All you have to do is comment below with two numbers – the first between 1 and 612 (i.e., the number of pages in the book) and the second between 1 and 30 (i.e., the approximate number of happy items listed on each page) – and I’ll consult 14,000 things to be happy about and give YOU something to be happy about! (If there aren’t enough items on the page you choose, never fear – I’ll just keep counting over to the next page so you won’t miss out on any happy goodness.)
Before you jump in and comment, however, know that there are no guarantees as to what you’ll end up with (as you might have guessed from the “Wildcard Wednesday” moniker!) – your chosen happy item might turn out to be whimsical or evocative, silly or inspirational, perfectly timed or completely inappropriate… it might spark a memory, a question, a conversation… or hey, it might even give you an idea for a story or blog post! But no matter what, I think it’ll be fun… and I’d love it if you’d join in!
So, are you ready to play?
Give me some numbers and I’ll give you some happy!

This sounds like fun! I have two numbers for you: 314 and 23

page 611, item 15. This happened to me all day — I had to call someone to ask what day it was because I wouldn’t believe my phone or watch.

It’s rather annoying when that happens, isn’t it?! In other news, your happy for the day is “ice-cream makers.” 🙂

Happens to me all the time … what day is it again? I always figure it’s because I’m so absorbed in my work, time no longer matters until someone makes me think about it. 🙂
I’m going to choose 523 and 26.

Those days are easily confused, I find! Your happy for today sounds rather yummy: “cheese-stuffed green chili peppers dipped in egg batter and deep-fried, then topped with onions, sauce, and cheese.” Wow!

I can relate to not knowing what day it is sometimes. Good you got that extra day and you weren’t behind a day, anyhow.
I’ll take lucky 7 and 7 just for fun.

Hi Terri! The numbers don’t go quite that high, so how about 396 and 6 – “children playing ‘radio station'”.
