Where would it be?

Rarely have I been so glad to see a Friday arrive, with a fairly quiet weekend ahead. It’s been a week of sadness and stress in our little household, so I’m really hoping the next few days will be a low-key time for relaxing and regrouping.

NaBloPoMo November 2012 Prompt
Friday, November 2, 2012:

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

This is a tough one, because despite the fact that my current home isn’t new or fancy, and my current city has its own share of troubles, I am perfectly happy and content to live exactly where and with whom I am living.

I really haven’t traveled all that much, so my experience with other places is relatively limited (and, when it comes to non-North American destinations, non-existent).

I can say that I am more city than country… that I tend to prefer restaurants and theatre to camping and hiking… that I’d rather live near water than not.

I can say that I fell in love with New York City both times I visited, and have always dreamed of living there, at least for a time.

I can say that I long to visit several countries across the sea.

I can say that one of my favourite travel-related sayings is, “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.”

But that doesn’t really answer the question, does it?

I think I’ll just stay put.

How about you? Where would you live?
