Today’s Gratitude List + October 2015 Gratitude Linkup

The sky is clear and blue today, a perfect backdrop for trees in the midst of a transition from summer green to fall shades of red and gold. Even though my home office window looks out onto our back yard and a not-so-beautiful alley, the view of the many gorgeous trees around us never fails to fill my heart with gratitude as I sit at my desk and take in their beauty. Happy autumn!

Gratitude - Charles M. Schulz

In no particular order, here is my own gratitude list for this moment in time. I hope that after reading it you’ll go on to write and share your own!

  • Better-than-usual voter turnout at our recent Canadian election.
  • Election results that give me a dose of hope for the future of our wonderful country.
  • Canada’s generally sane and non-sensationalist news media.
  • Having the energy and motivation to finally catch up on mega loads of laundry (which might sound like a little thing, but I’m tremendously grateful not to have to look at those huge piles of dirty clothes, towels, and bedding anymore!).
  • Technology like our DVR which allows us to watch what we want on TV at our convenience and never miss out on anything.
  • Settling in well to increased hours and responsibilities at my job.
  • Having a branch of the company’s bank within a couple of blocks of my home, making the task of depositing cheques for the office a breeze.
  • Fun evenings out with friends.
  • People who can make you laugh until it hurts.
  • Amazingly beautiful fall weather.
  • Audiobooks, which enable me to “read” even when I’m working.
  • Being able to borrow audiobooks from our local library.

Now it’s your turn!
