Today’s Gratitude List – Linkup No. 60 + 100 Happy Days – Day 100

Can you guess what’s right at the top of today’s gratitude list? I’m pretty sure you can – but just in case you’re stumped, I’ll tell you: it’s having arrived at Day 100 of my 100 Happy Days project! I am truly grateful that I embarked on, continued, and completed this little experiment, and will have more thoughts to share about the experience in tomorrow’s post… but for the moment I’ll leave you with a “collage of happiness” as today’s 100 Happy Days photo.

My Gratitude List

In no particular order, here is my own gratitude list for this moment in time. I hope that after reading it you’ll go on to write and share your own!

  • That the Christmas parcels both from and to my family arrived safely (and before Christmas!) at their proper destinations.
  • My generous and thoughtful employer, who gifted me with a fabulous collection of art supplies to help stimulate my creativity.
  • Paid vacation time! I finished work on Friday and am now off until January 6th, and plan to fully enjoy my nice long holiday at home.
  • So many things about Peter: his generosity in using his own Christmas gift money (which, to clarify, wasn’t given to him by ME, but by someone else!) to buy a new piano because he knew it would bring me happiness (here’s the story, in case you missed it)… his ability make me laugh, pretty much every single day… his continued great post-surgery progress… his unconditional love, support, and encouragement… and just who he is. I am blessed to have him in my life.
  • The joy I’m getting from playing the piano again, and that I’m just a little rusty rather than having lost all that I’d previously learned in my years of lessons.
  • My parents – for many things, but right at this moment for having paid for all those years of piano lessons which, though I may not have seemed grateful for at the time (!), I now treasure and am looking forward to building on.
  • So very many instances of kindness, thoughtfulness, love, and friendship that are continually directed my way.
