Today’s Gratitude List – Linkup No. 58 + 100 Happy Days – Day 86

Today’s happiness and gratitude is brought to you by memories of an absolutely wonderful evening with my fun, generous, crazy, thoughtful, hilarious, one-of-a-kind group of girlfriends at our third annual holiday gathering last night. I am so very blessed to have each one of them in my life.

100 Happy Days – Day 86

Hours of fabulous food, goofy games, creative cocktails, gorgeous gifts, and loads of laughter… it’s no wonder that it’s become tradition to set the date and location for the next year’s gathering at each party so that everyone can add it to their calendars and plan ahead. Priorities, folks! 😉

My Gratitude List

In no particular order, here is my own gratitude list for this moment in time. I hope that after reading it you’ll go on to write and share your own!

  • Our wonderful KitchenAid mixer (a gift from my parents last year), which made whipping the cream for my party dessert an absolute breeze. Food preparation is such a pleasure when you have the proper tools at hand.
  • Having a second photo chosen for the “Fab Four” on Instagram by Chantelle, the founder of the FMS Photo A Day Challenge. Never before, and then twice in one week?! Unbelievable, and thrilling times two!
  • Peter’s excellent progress, post-surgery.
  • Stumbling upon what might be my favourite new-to-me quote of the year, on this post by my blogging friend Aditi:

Home wasn’t a set house, or a single town on a map. It was wherever the people who loved you were, whenever you were together. Not a place, but a moment, and then another, building on each other like bricks to create a solid shelter that you take with you for your entire life, wherever you may go.

  • Several relaxing and satisfying art-producing, audiobook-listening sessions.
  • A warm, comfortable winter coat in a style that’s totally me.
  • My employer, my job, and my co-workers. Even though I’m not involved in their holiday festivities, a couple of them have done things to keep me in the loop and make me feel as though I’m still a part of things.
