The Night Before

Tomorrow is the big day – the day of my husband’s first surgery. This evening we’re rushing around doing last-minute things, making phone calls to various family members, and feeling fairly tired and nervous in anticipation of what I expect will be a rather rough week for both of us – but trying at the same time to remain positive, count our blessings, and focus on gratitude.

My mind really is elsewhere tonight – definitely not on trying to put my thoughts into coherent words – so I’m afraid this will be a short post. I’ll do my best to write a post-surgery update tomorrow – in the meantime, though, we are always grateful for prayers, good thoughts, etc. from family, friends, and well-wishers. 🙂

Hope you have a great week!
