Tangled Tuesday No. 95

Well, would you look at me, not skipping a Tangled Tuesday post, and therefore not swamping you with a mega-long epic like last week’s! Still, I do have quite a bit of tangling goodness to share with you today (good thing I didn’t skip, right?!), so pull up a chair, grab a cup of your favourite fall beverage, and enjoy!

This week I was thrilled to receive my custom vinyl wallet from Dear Sukie Handmade Wallets, which features one of my own designs and is the perfect size to hold my beautiful new square business cards from MOO.

Isn’t it wonderful?! I absolutely love it!

In the teaching end of things, I’ve held one Introduction to Zentangle class since my previous Tangled Tuesday post. This one was a bit different, with only two students in attendance, so instead of standing at an easel to teach at a larger, more visible scale I sat at the table with them and worked with the same materials as they were using. I think it went well, and it was interesting to experience a different class style.

Here are the finished tiles from this week’s class.

Going forward I have several classes scheduled through October and November, all of which are open for registration. If you’re in the Windsor-Essex (Ontario) region, I’d love to see you there!

New Tangles

Since my previous Tangled Tuesday post I have learned the following new-to-me tangles.

From TanglePatterns.com:

From Zentangle CZT Resources:

  • Cogwheel
  • Glace
  • Gust
  • Küle
  • Springkle
  • Tidal
  • Wadical
  • Xircus

I’ve now completely filled my ninth tangle pattern sketchbook and am about to set up a new red Moleskine Sketchbook as Volume 10, which means that I have learned a total of 950 patterns since I started tangling in June, 2013.

Another milestone I’ve marked is learning all of the “official” Zentangle patterns, including those that have not been published/released except to CZTs for teaching purposes.

Work in Progress

Unfortunately I have nothing new to report on my colouring book-to-be, so my total of completed pages remains at 18 of 20. I really, really need to get on with that…

I have, however, made some progress on my current WIP, a white Opus 10.5″ square tile.

I also started tangling the Go Tangle™ canvas wallet I picked up at the CZT seminar in June, and have completed one side of it.
