Things have certainly been progressing in the admin department of my tangling world, with teaching supplies purchased, business cards designed and ordered, and my new Square card reader in hand, ready to take payments for classes and supplies. (I expect this information is rather boring to others, but I’M thrilled about it!)
I’m in business!
My first “Introduction to Zentangle” class with a group of friends is coming up in just a few days and I’m both excited and nervous – probably a fairly normal reaction! I’m planning to write about it in my next Tangled Tuesday post – but in the meantime, here’s an update on what I’ve been doing this week.

I’ve filled up my eighth tangle pattern sketchbook and started in on a new red Moleskine Sketchbook as Volume 9, which means that I have now learned a total of 864 patterns since I started tangling in June, 2013. Hard to believe!
Work in Progress
Oops… I spent so much time on another project that I neglected to fulfill my colouring book-to-be goal of creating one page per week, so my total of completed pages remains at 13 of 20. I’ll have to ignore everything else and do two this week to make up for it!
The project that consumed so much of my time was a new Opus 10.5″ square tile in tan with a combination of brown and black ink, pencil shading, and white charcoal and Gelly Roll pen highlighting. I’m not finished yet, but thought I’d share a couple of work in progress photos so you can get an idea of where it’s going.

I’m not sure when I’ll get a chance to finish the shading and highlighting, considering the fact that I have TWO colouring pages to complete this week (!), but you can be sure I’ll share it in a future post when I’m done.
Now on to a new week of tangling!
