Tangled Tuesday No. 64

After a very busy couple of weeks I am easing myself back into tangling. Monday was actually the perfect day to start, as it was my day off with nothing scheduled but working my way through a humongous pile of laundry, and I had plenty of time to tangle between loads. Welcome to another Tangled Tuesday!

New Tangles

This week I learned Roscoe, DiamondX, Boxedup, and African Artist, all from TanglePatterns.com.

I also learned Papermint by Sandy Hunter, CZT of tanglebucket.

Challenges

I completed joey’s weekly tangle challenge #83, which was to use Ta-da in a monotangle. I decided to work with a black tile from my new Artist’s Tile Sketchbook and an orange Gelly Roll Stardust Galaxy Pen, and discovered that black paper isn’t really ideal when working with these pens. I ended up adding some highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen and a bit of shading with a white pencil, and the end result was rather unusual (in an “I’m not sure that I like this” sort of way).

You can’t really see the lovely sparkle of the ink, but perhaps you’ll have a better idea from this next picture which I took from an angle.

Then I moved on to Zendala Dare #112 from The Bright Owl, which this week was a lovely ribbon-like template. I didn’t intend to do a monotangle when I first started, but elected to go that route to really allow the Coil pattern to stand out. I think it was a good decision.

Now on to a new week of tangling!
