Tangled Tuesday No. 53

Time for another Tangled Tuesday! Whether you’re an Alphabet Salad and/or Ten Thousand Tangles newbie or a regular reader around these parts, I’m so very glad you’re here to share the joy of tangling with me (and do hope you’ll be back). Welcome!

Tangled Goodies

I’ve been hard at work creating new products for sale from my Ten Thousand Tangles shops – and I would love it if you’d stop by and check them out!

Got any favourites that call your name? Questions about the products? How about an idea for something new you’d like to see in any of my shops? Please don’t hesitate to let me know, either as a comment on this post or via e-mail.

P.S. Do YOU sell on Etsy? If so, please leave a link to your shop in the comments section below so that I – and my readers – can drop by and take a look!

New Tangles

This week I learned Binda, Rashell, Crater, Sails, Tropicana, Cack, and Mei, all from TanglePatterns.com.

Finished Projects

I thought I’d try my hand at creating a zendala using one of my favourite motifs – paisley – in a repeating pattern. I designed this piece specifically as a colouring page (see “Tangled Goodies” section above!), which means that I kept the filled-in sections to a minimum and didn’t do any shading.

If you end up downloading a copy for yourself, I’d love to see the finished result once you’re done with the colouring!

I also completed The Diva’s Challenge, which this week was based on a “Circus Life” theme from guest blogger Lee Darter, CZT. Lee writes:

My challenge is based on our annual family beach trip to Florida where we have a house. We will be on Anna Maria Island near the summer home of the Ringling Brothers winter home and museum in Sarasota.

What do you think of when you think of the circus?

I think of fun, striped tents and lots of action and movement.

For my guest challenge, create a tile using the tangles Cack by Adele Bruno and Tropicana by Kate Ahrens.

Then just just like a 3 ring circus – chose from either Florz, Linq by Lara Williams or Fescu to add a third element to your design.

What a fun challenge! I chose Fescu for my third tangle pattern, and came up with this as my finished tile:

I wasn’t at all sure what to expect of this one, but I’m quite happy with how it turned out – I think it almost has a celebratory party feel to it. So glad to be back into the challenges after missing a couple of them!
