Tangled T-Day No. 4

Well, in spite of my very best intentions, I’ve gone and done it again – that is, I’ve fallen behind in sharing any tangling updates for the past few weeks. But I’m here now (better late than never?!), with a nice full Tangled T-Day post which includes some rather exciting (if I do say so myself) announcements. Hope you enjoy!

First off, it’s time for a SALE!

Calling all colouring book enthusiasts! For the month of February on Createspace, enter code 9CP4G3XG at checkout and receive 20% off the purchase of Ten Thousand Tangles: A Zentangle-Inspired Art Colouring Book. This is a great chance to pick up a copy of my first-ever book for yourself and another as a gift for a friend (P.S. – CreateSpace ships worldwide!).

Happy colouring! 🙂

I am absolutely thrilled to share with you that as of this week I have been accepted as a member of the Walkerville Artists’ Co-op, and will begin displaying some of my work for sale in their gallery shortly. This is a whole new direction for me, with lots of exciting possibilities, and I’m greatly looking forward to what’s to come. Having a chance to get my work out into the community, as well as to meet, work with, and support other local artists, is a real privilege, and I’m grateful for this opportunity I’ve been given.

I’ve taught two groups of students since my previous post – one “next level” class (Beyond Basics: Shades of Grey), followed a couple of weeks later by Introduction to Zentangle. Both were tons of fun, and I’m thrilled with all the new students I am meeting and getting to know.

Here’s some of the lovely student artwork from these classes.

In addition to my regularly-scheduled classes (details here), I am delighted to announce that Viewpointe Estate Winery has invited me to teach an Introduction to Zentangle class at their property. It’ll be fun to branch out into a brand new environment, and hope we’ll have a great turnout that evening.

In preparation for bringing Zentangle to larger groups such as the one at Viewpointe, I’ve added a few new pieces of equipment to my teaching arsenal! I am now the proud owner of a document camera…

…plus a voice amplifier, and (as soon as it’s delivered this week) a tabletop projection screen. Oh, and a very cool wheeled bag in which to carry the lot. I’m all set and ready to go!
