My choice for today’s Photo Friday prompt – “Park” – was taken a couple of summers ago while waiting in line for kettle corn at Art in the Park. I have no idea who those two little boys might be, but I loved their attitude of curiosity and anticipation as they watched the treats being made. So sweet (both the boys AND the popcorn)!
As for happiness – well, today’s happened in spades when I got out my calendar and planned my time off in December…

…because as it turns out, between weekends, my usual Mondays off, holiday office closures, and a bit of banked vacation time, I’ll have a total of 17 days off in a row! I mean, I love my job, but 17 days off to do my own thing is definitely happy-making, don’t you think?!
I have a couple of organizational and household projects that have been nagging at me, but I never seem to find the time or will to tackle them on weekends. In addition to some relaxing and socializing, I’m going to do my very best to get these jobs done and dusted during this lovely long break, so that I can enter 2015 with a clean slate and a sense of accomplishment.
Wish me luck!

I admire that you’ll actually be doing some chores on your time off! I would be inclined to do nothing at all but play!

Art in the Park can sure be a fun venture. I can so relate to your planned activities on your time off Laurel as I may do just the same; however, I don’t think I have that many days off….

Love those two little boys! We have a large theatre popper and the kids love to push chairs up and watch the magic happen!
And 17 days! Heaven!

yum on kettle corn..17 days off and paid. I’ve never had a paid vacation. But what can one expect in the United States, mostly in Idaho.
