As I scrolled through my archives in search of inspiration for today’s Photo Friday prompt, I realized that I take a LOT of sunset pictures! I also realized that each one, no matter how well it may have turned out, ended up being a pale imitation of the actual sight I saw. I don’t feel too bad about that, though, as I’m not entirely sure it’s even possible for the depths of those vibrant colours to be captured accurately anywhere but in our memories! So rather than try to choose between one of my sunset shots, I opted instead to highlight a photo that was taken after nightfall when the man-made lights of the Summerfest carnival rides were shining in all their glory.
