My choice for today’s Photo Friday “Home” prompt isn’t actually a picture of my home, but rather a remarkable building fondly known as “Canada House” which is located not all that far from our place in Windsor. As you can well imagine, it’s a bit of an icon in the city and draws a lot of attention from passersby!
Intrigued? If you’d like some more Canada House details and photo goodness, check out my 2012 Canada Day post!
And… today’s happiness is brought to you by my afternoon cuppa, which in this case was a rich, flavourful blend of tea called Chocolate Rocket. Loose leaf tea is satisfying and happy-making to me in so many ways – the look, the aroma, the brewing process, the preparation, the taste – and today’s blend had the added benefit of being part of a very generous DAVIDsTEA gift package sent to me by my co-workers that I’m still enjoying a few months later. Warm and happy feelings all around!

The fact that it was Friday made me happy. I am dealing with a frustrating personal matter, and the weekend means I have a lot more time to devote to it. By the way, I find it hard to visualize a chocolate tea that tastes good (I’ve had some that were awful). I went to the David’sTea website to check it out – and the blend of ingredients sounds great – raspberry and almond included – but in the imaginary tasting area of my mind, I don’t see it. Guess it’s something I would need to taste for myself.

I’m not sure I’ve ever tried a chocolate tea before, but I quite like this one. I had it with milk and some sweetener – I use Sucanat (whole cane sugar that has a bit of a molasses-y flavour), so it’s possible that it would have altered the taste slightly rather than just sweetening the tea. I should try the tea without adding anything to see what it tastes like on its own!
Hope you get the frustrating issue dealt with satisfactorily.

That’s such an interesting house. I went back and read your original post too, Laurel. 🙂 They must go all out on Canada Day!
As for what made me happy today: morning coffee, sunshine and Murphy the Bichon. Plus, hubby’s happy because his work week is over, which makes me happy too. Have a good weekend.

He really has made the project a labour of love! We were fortunate to be able not only to see inside, but to do so on Canada Day when all he’d pulled out all the stops.
Have a great weekend!

Awesome house! 😉 I could tell immediately by the name that it is David’s Tea. LOVE David’s tea and today what I drank though was Earl Grey Chocolate Berry (I forget the brand but it’s goooooood!) Happiness for me was Friday! 😉 <3

I’m new to this brand – this gift box is the first time I’ve tried it, and I’m having fun working through all the flavours I received! The Organic Cream of Earl Grey I had the other day was fabulous.
