Pursuit:
tackling with enthusiasm the gradual, uphill climb
clear of vision, destination, desires
energy expended bringing joyful successes
earning, receiving, deserving
Plateau:
taking shortcuts through the same old, same old
clouded with fear, risk-aversion, hesitation to commit
limited effort producing mediocre results
slacking, lacking, disappointing
Possibilities:
rekindling the fire of inspiration and energy
confident in hope, purpose, willingness to strive
renewed dedication begetting celebrated triumphs
winning, accepting, meriting

Where are you on the path to your goal?

I think I am pre-pursuit or only pursuit of enjoyment right now this summer: singing and dancing away! However, I just joined a really cool rockin’ choir so that is my current pursuit! 😉 <3

Your post is a great way to introspect and evaluate one’s life. I think I’m at different stages for different goals – yeah I have plenty of them!

I guess I’m still on the pursuit path. Always will be.

Sometimes, I think my path is more like a maze. I’m in the middle of a caregiving situation (elderly mother in law developing condition while selling her house that required surgery, is in rehab 150 miles from us, and I’m trying to get a lot of things planned at once with a few dashes of uncertainty thrown in for seasoning). Sometimes I think I’ve found the end goal only to run into a wall. But eventually, I know I will find the exit.

It changes daily. Sometime, I think I’m on the path – my goal is clear before me. Then the next, the fog sets in. But keeping on is half the battle, right? Or is it the whole battle . . .
