for the desire to create
whether through
pencil lines or paintbrush strokes
scratching pen or clicking keyboard
fibres or fabrics, woven and joined
gemstones set in artfully-forged metal
music played, songs sung
a meal prepared with love
flowers arranged with grace

for the gift of imagination
for willingness to share
for eyes and heart and appreciation for
beauty
wonder
creation

I am grateful for the morning sun and for my dog who comes bounding to me the first thing as I wake up. I am also grateful for the thoughtful cup of coffee that the husband prepared.
