NaBloPoMo November 2012 Prompt
Tuesday, November 6, 2012:
If you were President of the United States, what would be your first act in office?
Well, I’m stumped. I know one of the things I would like to tackle – that is, campaign finance reform – but I have no idea whether that’s even something that could be undertaken by the President, and if so, how. (The words “Citizens United” keep echoing ominously in my head, leading me to doubt that such an issue is even tackle-able anymore…)
Thankfully, I am not American, nor do I have any desire to hold public office, so I will never have to face this difficult question in real life!
What would your first act be?

I am so on the same page with you on this one. While I am an American, I have no desire to ever be President. I wouldn’t know where to begin.

Me neither!

I am thankful to be American, but there is no way I would want that job or any job in politics. I commend those who do it for the right reasons though. I am thinking my first act would be to work on welfare reform. I don’t feel that those who need assistance necessarily get what they need, and others work the system. Great prompt.
