Of all of the olloclip lenses I use with my iPhone, I think I’ve had the most fun with the macro lens. There’s something just so fascinating and fun about being able to get up close to ordinary objects and capture them in a way that’s a little different and more detailed than the way you view them with the naked eye.
I took the opportunity to play around with macro shots for the past two NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) “Photo” theme prompts, first with coins and then with coffee beans.
Hope you enjoy!

I love your creative photography and how you take everyday objects and give us a completely different perspective. I enjoy the zoom lens on my camera but it doesn’t do macro that close, unfortunately. I’d love to try that kind of photography but for now I am limited by my equipment. That lens you use is very cool, but as I tell other folks it’s the creative eye at the end of the device that matters more than the device itself.

Thank you so much, Cat! Having a creative eye is definitely a huge part of the deal, and I hope I’m developing one. 🙂

I love close-up photography, but – apart from flowers – haven’t really done much. You’re inspiring me. I also don’t have an iPhone, but your olloclip lenses are making me wish I did!

I wonder if they make them for other types of phones? Might be worth checking out!

I never knew if one can work around with the phone camera too adding lenses to it…may be it is about the iphone. Loved the close up photos.

It’s definitely a fun option – you almost don’t need a “real” camera anymore! 😉

I love love the coffee beans!
I have no clue if my Samsung can do any cool stuff…pointing and clicking is about as technical as I have tried to get. LOL

Loving your monies… Now I am going to wonder all afternoon, where in the world did I put my Canadian coins? I used to hang onto all I got, just because they were from Canada.

These ones are pennies, which are no longer in circulation. I still have a few, though – need to hang on to these things for photo ops!

I’ve been waffling about getting an Olloclip, but these pictures just tilted me towards the other side. The problem is taking off the Otterbox case each time I want to use it. But those pictures are so crisp. My close-up ones are blurry.

I know what you mean – I have a mophie charging case, and it’s a bit of a nuisance to have to take it off to use the olloclip. Still, the end results are worth it!

That coffee bean shot has made me get up at 12:17am and grabbing a cuppa. You owe me a night of not sleeping 😛 Lovely shots.
