#MicroblogMondays 17 – Reflections on 100 Happy Days

After 100 days in a row of taking and posting photos of things that made me happy, it seems awfully strange to not be doing so today! So just to ease myself out of the practice, I thought I’d share a look back at the past 100 days and, as promised, some reflections on my 100 Happy Days experience. Hope you enjoy… and maybe get inspired to give 100 Happy Days a try for yourself!

100 Happy Days

Through 100 Happy Days, I have learned (or re-learned, or confirmed, as the case may be!) that…

100 Happy Days - Days 1-9

100 Happy Days – Days 1-9

…appreciating and acknowledging even the littlest things that bring joy is mood-enhancing.

…childlike delight and whimsy are life-enriching.

100 Happy Days - Days 10-18

100 Happy Days – Days 10-18

…taking time to recognize happy moments breeds more happiness.

…happiness and gratitude are very often linked.

100 Happy Days - Days 19-27

100 Happy Days – Days 19-27

…some days I just don’t feel happy, but I can do small things with intention to introduce moments of happiness.

…I am so very fortunate to share my life with two lovely, loving, delightful pets who bring joy to my world on a daily basis.

100 Happy Days - Days 28-36

100 Happy Days – Days 28-36

…memories are made when I make the most of every moment.

…often the things that bring the deepest joy can’t be captured in a photograph.

100 Happy Days - Days 37-45

100 Happy Days – Days 37-45

…sometimes it’s appropriate and respectful to set aside the expression of happiness, for the moment, in the face of tragedy.

…embracing (instead of fighting) who I am and what I enjoy brings satisfaction.

100 Happy Days - Days 46-54

100 Happy Days – Days 46-54

…I get a thrill out of taking time to make things special for others.

…happiness doesn’t always knock on your door – sometimes you have to go out and look for it.

100 Happy Days - Days 55-63

100 Happy Days – Days 55-63

…I am blessed with a fabulous employer, co-workers, and job.

…life is happier when I’m diligent about staying caught up and organized.

100 Happy Days - Days 64-72

100 Happy Days – Days 64-72

…my world is full to the brim with everything I need, plenty of my wants, and a generous sprinkling of wishes.

…personal traditions and rituals that mark moments bring joy.

100 Happy Days - Days 73-81

100 Happy Days – Days 73-81

…I get a thrill from the intrigue of learning something new.

…Peter’s smile and twinkling eyes warm my heart.

100 Happy Days - Days 82-90

100 Happy Days – Days 82-90

…I am blessed with a beautiful array of rich friendships.

…sometimes the anticipation of something good is just as happy-making as the something good itself.

100 Happy Days - Days 91-99

100 Happy Days – Days 91-99

…expressing my creativity is deeply satisfying.

…I am loved.

This has been an amazing project, and if you’ve never tried it before I encourage you to give it a shot. Add notes on your calendar to remind yourself to take your daily photos… commit to blogging for 100 days in a row as an incentive to take and share your photos… join a friend in encouraging each other along the way… whatever it takes! I can assure you that you won’t regret the experience.
