Because list-making is one of my true and lasting loves, for some Friday fun I’ve developed a compilation of the leisure-time, hobby-type, creative activities I’ve learned (or attempted and abandoned!) in the past.
Please note, though, that these items represent a wide, wide variety of skill levels! In other words, just because something shows up on the list doesn’t mean that I did it well, or even stuck with it for long… but I did try, which is to me one of the most important things!
So without further ado, I present…

It’s a kind of rock polishing. You put ordinary rocks in a little machine that rolls them around and, over time, softens the edges, brings out their natural designs, and polishes them to a shine. They’re really pretty when they’re tumbled!

This made me smile. If you come in my craft room, you will see many of these hobbies represented in there. I mainly do card making now, but use a lot of these mediums on them in one way or another. A favorite of mine is watercoloring (I don’t do it well, but incorporate it for backgrounds…) I took cake decorating classes through Wilton for many classes with my sister and had a BLAST. At the end of the series 4, we each made a wedding cake. I was single at the time and was annoyed, so I made mine a pale orange with tiger lilies… Such happy memories from those classes. A new hobby for me this year is bread baking. I got the book “Artisian bread in 5 min a day” for Christmas last year, and now, I am having a blast making my own french bread. Hubby is waiting for the heat to go away so I can make some more… Cheers to you for doing and trying lots of creative endeavors! Adds spice to life I think!
