If we met for coffee, I’d order a refreshing iced coffee with milk for myself (what would you have to drink?), and we would claim a patio table outside the café so that we could enjoy the gorgeous sunshine and soft summer breeze while we chatted.
If we met for coffee, I’d mention how much I’ve been loving the weather of late, and how nice it is to be able to turn off the air conditioning and instead open the windows. So wonderful to be able to hear the birds (and we do have a LOT of birds around here!), not to mention feeling more a part of the neighbourhood goings-on rather than being locked up tight in the (albeit cool) house.
If we met for coffee, I’d share with you that Peter and I went out on a date night to one of our favourite sushi restaurants in Windsor and had another delicious meal – but were disappointed to find that they’d printed new menus and raised their prices since the last time we visited. I guess you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do to stay in business – but I despair of finding (and keeping!) a sushi restaurant that matches what we grew to know and love back in Victoria, both in quality and price. We were certainly spoiled in the land of seafood that is the West Coast!
If we met for coffee, I’d confess that I’ve found yet another challenge-type thing that I’m thinking of tackling. It’s called Listers Gotta List, and it appeals to me in all sorts of ways! I’ve always been a listmaker, and I’m interested in doing more with art journaling-type things, and of course I LOVE challenges – so I just might give it a try.
If we met for coffee, I’d tell you that (much to my utter shock and surprise) I’ve managed to get myself hooked on Game of Thrones. Peter has already watched most of the HBO series and read all the books through (twice!), but I’ve always claimed that the fantasy genre is not at all my thing. And it’s not – yet I’m now deep into reading the first book in the series and more than halfway through watching Season 2 on DVD. Yes, well and truly hooked! (Just goes to show, once again, that I should never say never!)
If we met for coffee, what would you tell me?
