Life.
Is it that everything happens for a reason… that all the pieces of the puzzle are designed to click nicely into place, with the end result a beautiful, complete picture?
Or is it that everything happens, and it is up to each of us to take those neutral happenings and decide what we will make of them?
Part of me wants to believe in deeper meanings, magic, fate.
Another part feels much more secure with the idea that we have choices and are in control of the picture to be painted.
But honestly, I do not know.
I wonder.

What do you think?

I’m of the opinion that there is no such thing as fate and we have to choose our own path in life. The choices we make today affect our future for the better or the worse.

I do not believe in any kind of predestination. I feel that each of us is given certain talents and then it is up to us to make our lives, either using these talents, or not. Totally our choice.

I tend to lean in that direction myself.

I wonder too about the same thing and I believe that they all are depended on how we link and work on them

I believe that we all come with a predetermined destiny but the choices we make on that journey there and the path we take are free will.

Honestly,Laurel, I think it is a mixture of both. We are in control, yet not…certain things, no matter how we perceive them, are out of our hands.
Yet there are times when only we can decide how to move forward with life.

It definitely gives you a lot to think about, doesn’t it?!

I believe in a little bit of both, honestly. I think that there are some things that likely are supposed to happen, but that we also need to make choices throughout our lives which actually make a life. 🙂

More and more I’m starting to think that a blend of both seems right.

I believe there are no coincidences. I also believe that we have choice. Do those things go together? 🙂

This was a interesting post. A question and a thought which belongs to the metaphysical realms; one which seems to be a staple of the philosophers. It is comforting at times to think that everything happens for a reason. However, logically, the second thought seems more sound. But we never know, do we? 🙂

I lean towards the idea that it is both. Problem is, hindsight is always 20/20 when it comes to choices. Sometimes when we know better, we still make the wrong choices because we have been given free will — so, is it predestination or choice? The eternal question.
