NaBloPoMo November 2012 Prompt
Friday, November 30, 2012:
What has been the hardest part about blogging daily?
This question is a double whammy for me, as I’ve been blogging daily not only throughout the month of November, but also for the entire year!
And there are definitely some challenges to the practice.
I think the hardest part, though, has been the fact that some days I simply don’t feel like writing… or, along the same lines, don’t believe that I have anything much to say… but because I’ve decided that I will be blogging daily, I have to post something.
It can be difficult to push past the “don’t wanna” feelings and stick to my commitment.
But I’m proud to say that I’ve done it!
Of course, many of the “don’t wanna but I’ll do it anyway” days end up producing some rather substance-thin posts. It can be discouraging to realize that simply fulfilling a daily blogging commitment, while most certainly developing self-discipline, doesn’t automatically mean that the quality of my writing will improve.
In an ideal world, I would blog every day AND produce a constant stream of brilliant writing… but we all know that this world is far from ideal!
For the moment, then, I think I’ll just do my best… and hope to see a payoff some day.
Do you blog daily? What’s the hardest part for you?

I never blog daily. I prefer to write posts that have some meat to them and then leave them out there to be seen at the top of the blog for a few days. But my goals are a little different.

Yes, it all depends on your goals!

Idon’t blog daily; I have my Tuesday Tales which I thought would be enough of a commitment, but I do love writing prompts like Trifecta etc. So when stuck you can always fall back on a prompt!

I started out the month strong and then it got kind of spotty, but I did the entire month of blogs and have finally accomplished one thing in my life…it’s a toss up if I’ll do this next month…my blog got done, but nothing else in the house got done…oh well, maybe next month…

This was the post I was most proud of this month..it’s one where the inspiration came out of nowhere and I sat down and wrote this in two seconds, some of my other posts that I really cared about and really wanted to write about were harder and some I just couldn’t write…weird huh?
