I first put my bucket list in writing less than a year ago, so I was rather surprised and delighted when I looked at it today and realized that I can already cross off one item and part of another. Actually, now that I think of it, several parts of the first item on the list have also been taken care of. Not bad at all, I’d say!
So I suppose now is as good a time as any to update my list… and while I’m at it, I might as well add a few items that have come to mind since my original post. Time to dream!
My Bucket List
- Achieve all of the items on my blogging bucket list (of course!).
- Read the whole book and complete all the tasks in The Artist’s Way.
Get a piano of my ownand start taking lessons again.- Own our home, mortgage-free.
- Become a Certified Zentangle Teacher™ (CZT™).
- Travel to places outside of North America (top of my list: Italy, Greece, France, England, Ireland).
- Learn to play pool properly: understand the rules, develop some technique, practice regularly.
- Get laser eye surgery.
Conquer my fear and learn to cook with a gas barbecue.- Reach and maintain a healthy weight.
- Become fluent in Italian.
- Become fluent in French.
- Write and publish a book.
- Learn to paint in watercolours.
- Set up an art studio in my home.
To be continued…

A great bucket list Laurel and great that you are able to have accomplished 1-1/2 of them! 😉 Just to forewarn you, #2 is dauting if you are to do ALL the exercises as I am familiar with having gone through the book myself (not having done them all, but “supposed” to for the most part…). Also, do due dligience, i.e., research re. laser eye surgery as I have heard some questionable things about it. There is such a thing as natural vision improvement though it is not as instant a fix. 😉 <3

I actually started working through The Artist’s Way, and it really is daunting. (Probably why I never finished it!) But someday, I hope. 🙂

P.S. I do have a bucket list and it’s long, more of a fantasy it seems. However, I have a few key items (1) an inspired book including a children’s book and the one I am in the process of giving birth to (2) travelling to (similar to you), Italy, Greece, Ireland…. and (3) fulfill my vision which came from spirit. 😉 <3

Some of the items on my list are fantasy as well… but hey, that’s what dreaming is all about! 🙂

Good list – you must be artistic! If you wait long enough to get cataracts, you can get a new lens put in each eye (and insurance covers it) — one near, and one far — and you don’t have to wear glasses any more!
I wrote about my bucket list (http://thoughtstipsandtales.com/2014/07/09/1146/) and the status of 15 Bucket List/Lifetime Goals Achieved So Far: The Dream vs. the Reality (at http://thoughtstipsandtales.com/2014/07/10/bucket-listlifetime-goals-achieved-so-far/) which was sort of any eye-opener when I started thinking it through…

Congrats on getting some of those items crossed off your bucket list, Laurel! Yes, I have one in my head, but not written down. The number one item overall was crossed off in 2013: visit Greece. This was something I dreamt about since childhood and thought would never happen, so, keep at it. 🙂 I’ve been to Italy, France and England, Great places all – hope you get there! Am with you on the weight loss issue. It’s getting harder and harder with age. 😛

This is a great bucket list! I actually shared my bucket list on my blog last week. It’s been brewing in my mind for awhile, and I’m really excited to start tackling it. We have a few list items in common! Also, I read The Artist’s Way and did all of the tasks a few years ago. It was an awesome experience. Good luck achieving all of your goals!

The Artist’s Way seems like a really valuable exercise – it turned out to be too challenging for me to get through the first and second times, but maybe the third time’s a charm?!
