BlogHer ’12: Voices of the Year

One of the highlights of BlogHer ’12, for me, was the Voices of the Year Community Keynote. During this approximately hour-and-a-quarter-long segment of the conference we were privileged to hear from a number of the actual “voices of the year” BlogHers, who each read their own awarded blog post.

BlogHer '12The session was an emotional one – the pieces ranged from thoughtful to moving to angry to hilarious with several moods and feelings in between. When the readers had finished I remember thinking, “Now THAT’s what blogging is all about!” and felt incredibly proud to be among such wonderful company. Later that evening as I reflected on all that I’d experienced that day, and particularly inspired by the voices of the year, I sat down and wrote some reflections on BlogHer ’12.

Now, three weeks later, I have some really exciting news for those of you who missed BlogHer ’12: videos from the Voices of the Year Community Keynote are now available for you to watch!

I’m not going to say which are my favourites – as really, each of the readers has something to say that is worth hearing! When you have some time, I would encourage you to check them all out and share a little bit of our inspirational experience at BlogHer ’12.
