I‘ve been writing – in some form or another, with varying degrees of consistency – for most of my life. So that’s nothing new.
I’ve even shared my writing – with friends face-to-face, in small specialized publications – on several occasions. Been there, done that.
But blogging changed my life in a way that just writing on its own could never have done.
Blogging broadened my horizons and introduced me to the world.
Blogging has…
…granted me membership to an amazing community of writers that spans the globe.
…made it possible for my writing to be read by anyone, anywhere.
…brought people from countries I only dream of visiting to my little online home.
…connected me with friends – individuals who, in some cases, became fast friends – who would otherwise have remained strangers.
Blogging has given me the world.
How has blogging changed your life?

I feel the same way. I’ve spent my life writing, but blogging opened up the world for new friends and wider horizons. I’ve met people across the world that I wouldn’t have met without blogging.

Blogging has changed my life in all the ways you and your commenter mentioned and…….it has also made me busier than I ever thought possible. It has also opened up a whole new world which includes my radio show – a direct result of my blog.

Yes, that’s true for me as well – not the radio show, of course, but the busy-ness. It’s amazing how much time it can take!

All of what you said is so very true. It’s also challenged me to be better at what I love doing – and the challenge continues daily. I also enjoy the folks I’ve met and things I’ve learned from others!

That’s a very good point as well – knowing that others are reading is definitely a challenge to do our best. Thanks for the reminder, and glad you stopped by! 🙂

Yes, similar to you Laurel and I would think all bloggers: it has definitely expanded my world in meeting people world over, albeit online. And I can truly say that I have not only met them, I have also become friends with some of them! 🙂 That is a wonder and a blessing as my few close friends lately have been so busy with their lives that I rarely see them these days. Oh and yes, busy too more than I imagined with not only posting, but reading and commenting on other bloggers posts; however, I am grateful for the support and friendships of others including blogging communities! <3

Oh how I understand this perfectly, Laurel! Blogging has broadened my world even more, I’ve met interesting people who I now consider friends. Without blogging, I’d just be a stay at home mom struggling to find connection, struggling to have and maintain friendships. I have that now and the overall effort is pleasant and enjoyable, so that just makes it even better! 🙂

I don’t really. I think about things that I want to share with others on the blog all the time. I have met new people through blogging. It is a new and different world.

Laurel I completely agree with you that blogging has changed our life. One thing it keeps me busy and I am doing what I like most. The other thing is that I have made very good friends.
