If my commitment to NaBloPoMo for the month of January was based on my desire to become a better writer in 2012, and signing up again in February was all about an ongoing need for self-discipline, my decision to participate once again in March may be summed up in a single word:
Craving
After nearly two full months of once-daily blog posting (actually, more than that, some days, if you count the posts in my other active blog), I’m finding that a day just doesn’t feel right unless I write.
Writing daily means that, among so many other benefits, I am learning more and more to be mindful, to expand my horizons, to count my blessings, to find meaning in memories. Writing daily is introducing me to new friends and making me welcome in various excellent online communities of writers. Writing daily is slowly developing in me a depth, a discipline, a level of commitment I wasn’t aware I possessed.
Yes, I’m definitely signing up for another month of NaBloPoMo.
How about you?

Actually I have thought about doing the NaBloPoMo challenge, but for one reason or another I have found it difficult to come up with something, anything to write about every single day. Am I ready to take the plunge yet? Do I have the discipline? I am not sure…you have certainly given me something to think about. 😀 It would be something to keep at it the whole month!

It really is a great feeling to get to the end of the month and know that you’ve posted every day – a real accomplishment! Sometimes it’s tough to come up with something to write each day, but between the blog prompts on NaBloPoMo, and the two FB writers’ groups, something always develops! I encourage you to give it a try.

I am seriously considering joining in for March – two months down, why not keep going?
I agree with so much of what you have said – I feel I have grown as a writer. On top of that, it has become such a habit, that it will be easy to continue doing it. And I might feel a loss if I don’t do it another month.
March is busy, though for me, and I am still deciding about it.

“Writing daily is slowly developing in me a depth, a discipline, a level of commitment I wasn’t aware I possessed.” Couldn’t agree more! That has been my February experience as well. Along with enhancing my creativity and teaching me how to push through writing blocks. I signed up for March yesterday… looking forward to sharing the experience with you!
