Home again, home again, jiggety-jig! Yes, that’s right – just two nights in the hospital for Peter before they sent him packing, which has got to be some kind of a record! He’s doing just fine – still building up his strength post-surgery, of course, but in great spirits and walking really well (albeit slowly).
As anyone who’s ever tried to sleep while surrounded by hospital sounds knows, you don’t get much of it when you’re there. Not surprisingly, shortly after we arrived home he headed upstairs for a nap, and there he stays. So I’ll let a photo of his shoes (and a twist-tie plaything courtesy of the cats, which I noticed after posting the picture) represent our happiness at having him home with us.
I’m glad to see them – and him – kicking around again. 🙂

What made you happy today?
Please share!

Yay, that is good news! Ironically the hospital is one if the least healthy places to be because of those awful MRSA and other bacterial monsters, so I’m glad he’s home with you. Probably some ling days ahead but hopefully progress will happen every day!

That’s a good point – probably much better to be in your own home these days!

Ditto to Sammy’s remark! Great news for you both: wonderful to hear! Crying held-back tears that I needed to release made me happy, or rather happier today. Sometimes you just need to let it out! 😉 <3

Oh, AND I just found out that my fingerless burgundy acrylic mitt(?) was found at the grocery store where I shopped today. So good to hear as I wear them A LOT and I got them as a gift from my manager last year. 😉 <3
