100 Happy Days – Day 41

Today’s happiness is brought to you by my fluffy goofball Oscar. Before I got out of bed this morning I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed and Oscar – as he usually does – was walking all over me, getting in between my face and the iPad screen, and generally doing anything he could to get me to give him some attention (or, better yet, get up and give him some food!). Finally he settled down in the crook of my arm, perfectly positioned to view the iPad along with me… and, as luck would have it, at that very moment an animal video came up in the feed and started to play. Oscar was transfixed! His ears perked up, his head tilted inquisitively, and his eyes darted around the screen, following the movements of cats and dogs who were trying to fit themselves into boxes and containers. Every now and then he tentatively reached out a paw, stopping just before he touched the screen, as if he wasn’t sure what he should do with these strange creatures. It was absolutely adorable, and about the cutest way I can imagine starting a morning, so he’s definitely my official happy-maker today!

Since I couldn’t get a picture of the actual happy-making event (I mean, there’s only so much one can do with an iPad balanced on one arm and a cat curled up in the other!), here’s one from later in the day as he was making himself at home on my desk.
